Tales of Spendji, Part One
Since our "soft" launch last month, traffic has been building and our user base is growing nicely. Thanks and welcome to all our new users!
We've been amazed by the large variety of activities and projects people have been planning on Spendji so far. Everything from family reunions and camping trips, to children's bedroom remodeling and company picnics. People are even using it for things we did not originally expect, like managing a shopping list or a personal job search.
From time to time we'd like to share how people are using our site,
since you could create a spending plan for pretty much anything.
Have an interesting project or activity you are using Spendji to plan and manage? Please let us know.
Thanks for the site, guys. You've probably got your hands full, but we
had an idea for a similar site that might be easy for you to start based
on your current iteration.
My siblings and I are using your site as a way of communicating about the
care of our elderly parents. We're all over the country and need a simple way to keep in touch and share data. I know we're not alone.
Maybe you could look over your format and see how easy it would be to
adapt to make it specific to the needs of far-flung families caring for
elders. I bet you could get some discreet banner ads from AARP or some
such.
Call it something kicky like "TheRents.com" or "OurFolks.com" If you make
a million on it, give me a little cut!-)

I set up a basic home budget and track some tasks and dates with my husband on Spendji. I like that we can view it or update when we are at work or apart. I know it's not meant to be like Quicken, but we just needed something simple to keep sane. Good job!
